The Foundrie

Our good friend and Renegade Craft Fair booth buddy, Shelah McClymont, owner of Destroyed By Design, is the brainchild for St. Louis' most progressive new store, The Foundrie. Located in Chesterfield Mall, the store was open from Black Friday until just after Christmas, one month of shopping indie for the holidays. What, you say? Indie shopping at a mall? Sheila used her ninja networking skills to gather 30+ of the most talented, progressive and creative independent designers from St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago and LA to fill her store. Sheila's degree in Fashion Merchandising definitely shows in these pictures of The Foundrie, where she actually transformed a really boring mall shop into something that Anthropologie's merchandisers would envy. Great job, Sheila! Scarlett Garnet and Shi Shi Designs did a trunk show on December 12th and had a wonderful experience and sales. All our customers had wonderful things to say about the trunk show, the store and the quality and diversity of the product. We hope that Sheila opens her pop-up indie holiday shop every year! Congratulations to the success of The Foundrie, Sheila!!!
